Websites like Roobet, judged by the licence paperwork

A licence line can contain four things, and they are not equally common. The authority and the number are nearly universal: thirty-nine of forty-one alternatives publish both. A link to a register is equally common at thirty-nine. A status word — the register's own description of the licence, such as Active or valid — was recorded for thirty-three.

Roobet publishes the first two and neither of the last two. That is the whole of the difference between its footer and the median footer in this set: it makes the claim and does not offer the route to check it.

The gap between thirty-nine register links and thirty-three status words is worth a sentence. Eight operators publish a link that did not yield a status word when it was followed. That is not the same as a link that fails, and it is certainly not a finding that the licence is bad. It means the register did not answer in a way that could be recorded, which is exactly the state Roobet's own number is in.

The authority field is the most revealing part of the line, and not because of which regulator is named. It is revealing because of how many different strings the same two regulators produce.

Seventeen operators write Curaçao Gaming Authority. One writes Government of Curaçao, one writes Curaçao eGaming, one writes Curacao without the cedilla, and one writes Antillephone N.V., which was the old master-licence holder rather than the authority. That is five distinct renderings pointing at broadly the same island regime, and a reader comparing two footers has no way to tell from the words alone whether they describe the same arrangement.

The Anjouan side is tidier but does the same thing: fifteen write Anjouan Gaming Board and two write out the full Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros. One operator, Sportbet.one, names M.I.S.A. with number G20190045, which is neither. Two — Nitrobetting and BetPlays — name nobody.

Roobet writes Government of Curaçao, which is the same rendering one alternative in this set uses. The number series it quotes, OGL/2024, is the same series fourteen alternatives quote; three more quote OGL/2023.

Where a register did answer, it answered in one of three words. Seventeen came back Active, fifteen came back valid, one came back Valid. Those thirty-three are the operators whose central claim about themselves was, on the day of reading, confirmed by something that is not their own website.

Eight came back with nothing recordable: Wolf.bet, Rocketpot, LTC Casino, Primedice, Nitrobetting, Sportbet.one, BetPlays and Bitdreams. The reasons differ. Two of them publish no authority and no number, so there was nothing to look up. The others quote a number under an older Curaçao series, or under an authority whose register does not return a machine-readable answer.

It matters that this is described as unresolved rather than as a failure. The Curaçao certificate register returned no result for any domain queried on 28 August 2026 — including brands with working certificate links published on their own sites — so a blank status word on that register carries no information about the operator behind it. On the Anjouan register the position is different, and fifteen of sixteen brands pointing at it produced a word.

Comparing forty-one footers at once shows something a single review never can: four licence numbers in this set are each quoted by two different brands.

Bitcasino.io and Livecasino.io both quote OGL/2023/111/0069. Mirax and KatsuBet both quote OGL/2024/1307/0748. Fairspin and Weiss both quote ALSI-202508047-FI2. LTC Casino and Primedice both quote 8048/JAZ, and they do it under two different authority strings — Curaçao eGaming and Government of Curaçao. Bitdreams quotes 8048/JAZ2019-015, which is recognisably the same number with a year and sequence appended.

None of this is hidden and none of it is improper. Licences are held at group level all the time, and the brands print the shared number themselves. The consequence for a reader is about counting: eight websites in this set are covered by four licences. Treating them as eight independent records of how a regulator behaves is double-counting, and a comparison that ranks all eight highly on paperwork is really ranking four documents twice.

Roobet's OGL/2024/687/0427 is not shared with any brand in this library. Whether it is shared with a brand outside the library is not something this page can answer.

Licence numbers in this set fall into three recognisable families, and the family is often more informative than the digits.

The OGL series is the current Curaçao form, introduced with the regime that replaced the old master-and-sub-licence structure. Fourteen alternatives quote an OGL/2024 number and three quote OGL/2023. Roobet's OGL/2024/687/0427 sits in the larger of the two. A number in this series is the one that ought to resolve at cert.cga.cw, which is what makes its behaviour on 28 August 2026 worth recording.

The ALSI series is the Anjouan form, and seventeen brands in this set quote one — fifteen naming the Anjouan Gaming Board and two writing out the full Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros. The series encodes a date: numbers such as ALSI-202509008-FI1 and ALSI-202602030-FI2 carry a year and month in the middle segment, running here from 2024 through to 2026.

The third family is the legacy Curaçao form, and it is the one that shows its age. LTC Casino and Primedice both quote 8048/JAZ, Bitdreams quotes 8048/JAZ2019-015, and Rocketpot quotes 1668/JAZ. These are numbers from the earlier arrangement, and none of the four has a register status word recorded against it. One brand in the set quotes neither family: Sportbet.one, with G20190045 under M.I.S.A.

A reader comparing two footers can therefore get a rough answer from the number alone. An OGL/2024 number is a recent Curaçao issue, an ALSI number is Anjouan with a date built in, and a JAZ number is legacy Curaçao paperwork that the current register was not able to answer for.

Nitrobetting and BetPlays publish no licensing authority, no licence number and no register link in anything the library holds. They are the only two of the forty-one in that position, and it drops both to the bottom of the ranking: BetPlays scores 3.3 out of 10 and Nitrobetting 3.5.

Both do publish other things. Nitrobetting states 2013 as its founding year and lists seven coins — BTC, ETH, BCH, LTC, USDT, BNB and USDC — and its terms say account creation needs only an email address while full documentation may be requested at any time, including at random, to confirm a deposit or process a payment, with account termination and balance forfeiture named as the consequence of not supplying it. BetPlays publishes a catalogue of nineteen studios, a verification clause at 4.3 requiring documents on a first withdrawal, and a withdrawal cap of 5,000 EUR a week at clause 6.11.

Neither brand is being accused of anything here. The point is narrower and it is the point of this whole page: on the single field that lets a reader check an operator's claim against a source outside the operator, these two publish nothing, and thirty-nine of their competitors publish something.

Roobet publishes two of the four elements. It names an authority and quotes a 2024-series number, which puts it level with thirty-nine of the forty-one alternatives. It publishes no register link, which puts it behind thirty-nine of them. And no status word was recorded for it, which puts it level with eight.

The number itself is unresolved. On 28 August 2026 the Curaçao certificate register at cert.cga.cw returned no result for Roobet's domain and no result for every other domain tried the same day. A register in that state cannot support a conclusion in either direction, so the entry stays unresolved: not verified, and not invalid. The licence check page sets out the query and the response in full.

The double-entity structure in the footer is the part most worth a reader's attention, and it is unusual enough in this set to be worth naming twice. Raw Entertainment B.V. holds the licence in Curaçao. Raw Entertainment Ltd, a Cyprus company with its own registration number, is named as the paying and operational agent. The licence and the money sit in different jurisdictions, and that is Roobet's own description, not an inference.
